Challenges Youth Face in Green Bay

Young people in Green Bay face several challenges when preparing for their future careers, including limited career exposure, lack of access to mentorship and professional networks, financial barriers, gaps in practical skills, transportation and accessibility issues, low awareness of education pathways, confidence and self-esteem barriers, and competing pressures. Skills & Experiences Gained Through YETE

Participants in the YETE program gain career & workforce skills, including hands-on technical skills, workplace readiness, customer service & communication, and problem-solving & critical thinking. They also develop education & academic skills, such as applied learning, research & presentation skills, and project planning. Life skills gained include financial literacy, self-advocacy, personal responsibility, and confidence & self-esteem.
